The Blueprint
Pitch Perfect Panic

This week felt bigger in every sense. The focus shifted towards a global pitch that was being prepared to go out across 23 countries, all competing within the same space. Knowing the scale instantly changed the way I looked at every detail. Suddenly, even the smallest design choice felt like it carried more weight, more responsibility, and a much larger audience.
The most exciting part was being involved in building multiple brand identities with the team. Watching how one brief could evolve into several completely different directions was genuinely eye-opening. Each concept had its own personality, tone, and visual language, and it was fascinating to see how subtle changes in colour, typography, or messaging could completely transform the identity. It made me realise how design is never just about making something look good — it’s about making it distinct, especially when the work needs to stand out globally.
There was also a noticeable shift in pace this week. Every minute mattered. Concepts were constantly being refined, reworked, and strengthened through creative run-throughs and feedback sessions. Seeing how many iterations go into shaping a strong pitch gave me a new appreciation for the process behind big-scale projects. It wasn’t just about ideas; it was about pressure, clarity, teamwork, and making sure every detail aligned perfectly before presenting it to a global audience.
Naturally, the thought of the pitch going out internationally brought a different kind of nervous energy. It felt exciting and intimidating at the same time. Knowing the work would be viewed alongside teams from across the world added a layer of seriousness that made the entire process feel incredibly real.
Another highlight of the week was seeing our team’s design being printed and manufactured on a real scale by the client. Watching something move beyond the screen and into the physical world was incredibly rewarding. It made the work feel tangible and reminded me how design can travel far beyond the studio.
Overall, this week felt like a step into a much larger stage — one where collaboration, precision, and confidence mattered more than ever.

This Week's Takeaway
Big projects aren’t just about big ideas — they’re about thoughtful details and strong teamwork. Being part of something larger than myself pushed me to think wider, work faster, and trust the creative process more than ever. I realised how different ideas can become when they’re built for a global stage. Seeing work move from screen to real-world production made the journey feel truly real.
