The Blueprint
Transitions, Crashes & 143 Layers

Week 4 at YellowAd
By Week 4, the rhythm of agency life had started to feel familiar — and just when things began to feel stable, change arrived.
This week brought a new update: I would soon be transitioning to a new team while still handling creatives for the existing brand. The announcement felt exciting and slightly overwhelming at the same time. It felt like a sign of growth, but also like stepping into a phase where expectations would increase even more.
Working Through a Brand Closure
One of the biggest realities this week was understanding what it feels like to work on a brand that is approaching closure.
As the brand slowly wraps up, the nature of work has shifted. Instead of long-term campaigns, the focus has moved to final rollouts, last-minute requirements, and CSR sheets filled with updates and new deliverables. Every task now carries a sense of urgency, as if everything needs to be completed before the final curtain falls.
There’s a unique pressure in this phase — creating work that still needs to look polished and consistent, even though the timeline feels shorter than ever.
Learning to Work Without Constant Guidance
Another noticeable shift this week was working more independently.
With my supervisor unavailable for a few days, the usual comfort of quick guidance and feedback wasn’t always there. Small doubts suddenly felt bigger, and decisions had to be made more confidently and quickly.
This experience pushed me to rely more on my understanding of the brand and the workflow. It was challenging at moments, but it also felt like an important step towards becoming more self-reliant.
I realised that growth sometimes happens when the safety net temporarily disappears.
Creative Rush & Technical Chaos
This week felt long — the kind of long that comes from rushing creatives, handling tight deadlines, and dealing with software crashes at the worst possible moments.
Feedback conversations became a regular loop, and some moments felt straight out of everyday agency life:
“How is this different from before ones…..”
“Reassuring them the resolution is fine for the 10th time.”
“Cleaning up 143 layers named rectangle 1 copy copy copy copy.”
These little dialogues perfectly summed up the week.
Between revisions, exports, crashes, and last-minute changes, the days moved fast and the evenings moved even faster.
A Week of Adjustment
This week felt like a bridge between phases.
The transition to a new team is approaching, responsibilities are increasing, and the workflow continues to evolve. While the pace has been intense, it also feels like a sign that I’m becoming more involved in the process and trusted with more responsibility.
It hasn’t been the easiest week, but it has definitely been a meaningful one.

This Week's Takeaway
Growth often appears in the form of change and uncertainty. Learning to handle responsibility, work independently, and adapt during transitions is an essential part of professional progress.
