Work by Day, Ads Everywhere After

Week 5 at YellowAd

This week felt like a real test of balance.

For the first time, I found myself actively juggling work between two teams while deadlines continued to stack up. What once felt new now felt fast. What once felt fast now felt intense. Managing creatives for more than one brand as a fresher brought a mix of excitement, pressure, and a constant need to stay organised.

But beyond the workload, this week quietly changed the way I look at the world outside the office too.

Learning to Juggle Responsibilities

Working between teams meant switching contexts constantly — different brand guidelines, different expectations, different priorities. Each task required a mental reset before starting the next one.

Handling creatives for two brands at once felt mentally and physically exhausting at times, but it also made me realise how quickly adaptability becomes an essential skill in an agency environment.

There’s a unique challenge in maintaining consistency while shifting between multiple brand voices. Every design decision had to stay aligned with each brand’s identity, even when timelines were tight and tasks overlapped.

It was one of the busiest weeks so far, but also one of the most growth-filled.

When a Lift Turned Into a Theatre Scene

One of the most memorable moments of the week happened completely outside work.

While heading out to buy a toy, I stepped into a lift that was fully wrapped in a movie advertisements. It was the first time I had ever seen a lift branded like that, and it instantly caught my attention.

Because it was for a theatre, the entire space felt dramatic and cinematic. Standing inside it genuinely felt like I had walked into a scene — almost like I was the character trying to decide which option to choose next.

That moment stayed with me.

It made me realise that advertising doesn’t only live in billboards, packaging, or social media. It exists in everyday spaces we move through without expecting it — and sometimes those are the most immersive placements of all.

This week didn’t just improve me professionally; it made me more observant as a designer.

The Weight of Responsibility

Balancing work between two brands as a fresher came with its own challenges.

The week felt long, both mentally and physically. There were moments of exhaustion, but also moments of pride in being trusted with more responsibility. Every completed task felt like a small step forward in confidence.

Slowly, the transition from “new joiner” to “active contributor” is starting to feel real.

Fry-day Fuel

Amid all the deadlines, the week also brought a lighter, much-needed break — Gujju Snack Day.

It was a proper first come, first serve situation, and the excitement around snacks felt very real. Jalebi, fafda, dhokla — the perfect Friday fuel after a hectic week.

These small office traditions continue to be the tiny moments that balance out the fast pace of agency life.

Growth Outside the Screen

Week 5 reminded me that growth isn’t always about learning new software or improving technical skills.

Sometimes growth comes from observation.

From noticing how the world communicates.
From understanding how branding exists in everyday life.
From realising that inspiration often lives in the spaces we move through daily.

This week felt tiring — mentally and physically — but it also felt eye-opening in a new way.

This Week's Takeaway

Great designers don’t just create advertisements — they notice them everywhere. Growth happens when professional learning begins to shape how you observe the world around you.
